BCDHA Service Project
Our service project for 2015 is our continued support of Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine (SCVIM), a new medical and dental clinic in Viera to serve the uninsured of Brevard County. http://www.spacecoastvolunteersinmedicine.org/
We are continuing to support the Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine Dental Clinic. As you know, last year we donated a ultrasonic unit. This year, we are donating a hand piece. They are also in great need of proxy brushes, fluoride varnish, floss, 2x2's, paper towels, toilet paper, and adult toothbrushes. You can contact Sandy Plasner or bring some to the next meeting if you can donate.
They are in need of many different things, especially RDHs available to volunteer some time in the clinic. We will be collecting the following items at every meeting so please scour your offices and ask your colleagues to donate these items:
Cavitron Unit with inserts
Floss - Patient samples
Go Betweens/ Prox-a-brushes
End Tuft Brushes
Rubber Tip Stimulators
3-M Sealant material and Etch
Dry Angles - All sizes
Disclosing Agent/ Tablets or Liquids
Gloves: Small & Med - Non latex
X-Ray film size 2, 3 & Pano films
Endo files and current dental products for root canals.
Sterilizer bags - all sizes.
Announcing a Change in Meeting Venue! We have located a beautiful new, centrally located facility with its own restaurant and bar at Heritage Isle Clubhouse, 6800 Legacy Drive, Viera, FL 32940 to more easily accommodate our members and guests and provide a more comfortable environment. A valid Driver's License must be shown at the gate upon entrance to proceed to the clubhouse.
Due to state regulation, if you arrive after the CEU begins or leave before it ends, you will not receive your CEU. BCDHA registers with CE Broker.
We are collecting items to donate to the Brevard Women's Center. Please see the Calendar page for a list of requested items. Find out about new topics in dentistry and earn CEU's. Our Calendar of Events is in the process of being updated for the 2015 season. Please check the web page for upcoming meetings and CEU details. There will be no meetings for May, June, July, August, & December.
